Rehabilitation of Numana Bridge

The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Design and Construction will begin rehabilitation work on the Numana Road Bridge No. 129, over Kalihi Stream in Kalihi Valley. Temporary traffic modifications will be in place during beginning and end phases of construction. One lane will remain open with alternating traffic during work hours. Motorists should expect delays and follow all traffic control measures. After work hours, the bridge will return to its normal traffic pattern. However, during the August-December stage of construction, the entire bridge will need to be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic 24/7 for no more than 120 consecutive calendar days to safely accommodate construction activities. Numana Road will be open to local traffic only during full closure. Typical through traffic will be detoured to Likelike highway to access the opposite end of Numana Road.
