Meet The People

Garrett J. Sullivan, CEO
Mr. Sullivan handles the administrative issues for the company as CEO. He has a Master's Degree in Business (MBA) and is active on several boards, including the Construction Financial Manager's Association (CFMA) and General Contractor's Association of Hawaii (GCA).
Mr. Sullivan is currently the First Vice President of the GCA and is Past President of the Hawaii chapter of CFMA.

Stephen Baginski, President and COO
Mr. Baginski worked for a large construction company as a Concrete Foreman while earning his BS degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Vermont.
Upon graduation in 1990, Mr. Baginski was recruited by Kaikor Construction and started his management career as a Quantity Take Off Engineer. Quickly he became a full charge Estimator until 1995 when he became Vice President of operations and took over leadership of the field operations.
In 2005, Steve took over as President and COO of Kaikor, and currently manages all field operations and the day-to-day management of the company. He also heads up the Kaikor Safety Team and is an active member of the General Contractor's Association of Hawaii's (GSA) Safety Committee.
He has successfully lead his team to complete such projects as the Otani Produce Warehouse in 2006, and the Kauai Bridge job in which Kaikor set the longest pre-cast girders in the State.

Erik Snyder P.E., VP of Estimating
Born and raised on the island of Maui, Mr. Snyder began working part-time at Kaikor Construction while pursuing his BS degree in Civil Engineering. Upon his graduation in 1996, Erik began to work full time with Kaikor as a Quantity Take Off Engineer and then as an Estimator.
Mr. Snyder continued his education and received his Executive MBA from UH in 2005 and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the CIUTI area. He is active with CFMA and GCA of Hawaii and will receive a Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering in June 2008
Erik has successfully completed the Hoonani Bridge on Kauai in 2000, Inoino Bridge on the Island of Hawaii in 2001 and the University Of Hawaii Dole Street parking structure in 2004. He is currently the Vice President of Estimating and oversees the department.

Janis Loo, Corporate Secretary
As Secretary of the Corporation, a Director, and the Office Manager, Ms. Loo ensures that the Kaikor Constructing standards of the day-by-day operations are flowing smoothly. Employed with Kaikor since 1997, Janis has a Master's degree in Public Health and is currently serves as Chair of the GCA Build Hawaii Committee.

Anna Herrera, Accountant
Ms. Herrera is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Seattle University with a BA in Business Administration majoring in Accounting. A valued Kaikor employee since August 2004, Anna is responsible for the accounting department and ensuring accurate and timely completion of work in accounts payable, payroll and general accounting.

Dom Cueva, Project Engineer
Dom Cueva began working for Kaikor in April 2005 as a co-op student of the University of Hawaii. Since then he has received his BS degree in Engineering and is currently pursuing his Masters in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering. He is responsible for providing technical support and professional engineering services for Kaikor's construction efforts.

Kaleo Baginski, Administrative Assistant
Kaleo Baginski rejoined the Kaikor Staff in September of 2007 after a 10 year hiatus. A graduate of the University of Washington she holds a BA degree in Psychology and is responsible for assisting the President and CEO on special projects.

Johnny Chiem, Project Engineer
Johnny Chiem joined Kaikor in May 2003 as a co-op student pursuing his degree in Civil Engineering. Since graduating in June 2004 with a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Hawaii, Johnny was promoted to project engineer and performs professional engineering work in the investigation, planning, design, construction and operation of a variety of jobs.
